Former Presidential Secretary Lalith Weeratunga and Former Chairman of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission, Anusha Palpita have been granted bail by the Colombo High Court.
The duo were earlier imprisoned in connection to the usage of 600 million rupees worth of TRCSL funds to purchase sil cloths during the presidential election season.

- Cash bail – Rs. 100,000
- Six sureties – 1 million each
The sureties should include one government servant and a close relative.
Lalith Weeratunga and Anusha Palpita have also been ordered to hand over their passports to court.
